Fonterra is the world’s largest dairy producers and one of FOSS’ key accounts and important strategic partners, that based in New Zealand. Recently, they decided to buy 29 DS3’s for their milk powder production sites in the Pacific region.
Campbell McCracken, FOSS Industry Sales Manager in FOSS Pacific explains that Fonterra came to FOSS to understand how FOSS could help modernise their analytical setup and further optimise the powder operations in their many different plants.
Their old InfraXact instruments were up for replacement and they were evaluating which solution to go with. And also Fonterra had bought NIR instruments from competitor products wihtin the last 6-7 years and that we would have to deliver a convincing case to secure the order.
We were able to initiate trials in New Zealand with the DS3 in September 2021 and were ultimately able to secure this landmark order. The customers chose us because of the superior performance of DS3, including the ability to analyse in the visual range, our cloud solutions for more efficient fleet management, and the intuitive user-software offered by FOSS”.
“Our team in FOSS Pacific, has done a tremendous effort in convincing the customer about the benefits of the DS3. This deal also clear evidence of Fonterra’s trust in FOSS’s solutions and service and support offered over the past many years. And it also verify that Fonterra appreciates to partner with us on new solutions. I am sure we will be able to find additional areas of cooperation where we can build on our already successful partnership”, explained by Francisco Castano Key Account Manager.
