Overview
Value
The secure choice for your dairy herd improvement programme with the option to get a step ahead of your competition with the unique new Differential Somatic Cell test option.
Sample Type
Total SCC: cow’s milk and DSCC: cow’s milk
Parameters
Total Somatic Cell Count (SCC) and Differential Somatic Cell Count (DSCC)
Features
Differential SCC for improved mastitis management
Differential somatic cell count (DSCC) is a new milk testing parameter introduced with the CombiFoss™ 7 DC analyser. It complements the established test for total number of somatic cells (SCC) pioneered by FOSS in the 1980’s. The Fossomatic™ 7 DC has several sensors detecting fluorescence signals from milk cells and a new chemistry and an incubation unit. Combined, they enable the instrument to measure DSCC and SCC simultaneously.
FOSS Integrator
FOSS Integrator is a shared software platform supporting other FOSS milk testing solutions. The same user interface, the same conveyors, bar code readers etc. can be used throughout the laboratory. This eases training of laboratory staff and facilitates data handling, transfer and storage. Uniform software provides flexibility in the laboratory. Further, context sensitive help available via FOSS Integrator software provides easy and quick solutions and answers, as well as provides an excellent tool for quality assurance.
FossConnect™
FossConnect™ is a centralised networking management solution for Fossomatic™, BactoScan™, MilkoScan™ and CombiFoss™ that helps you to reduce operational costs and secure consistent high performance from your analytical instruments. With FossConnect™, you can manage, configure and monitor your instruments remotely from any internet-enabled computer and safeguard your data for whenever you need it.
