While moisture content has always been a critical control parameter of soybean meal, many producers still struggle to match targets with consistency and to monitor process changes.

Manual methods of sampling and testing are reliable, but the frequency of tests is naturally limited by the need to take a sample and present it to the analytical instrument. In the intervals between tests, potential yield and profit is lost due to under or over steering of the process, inefficient utilization of resources and decreased customer satisfaction.

With the ability to measure continuously and with high repeatability at key process points, oilseed processors gain renewed possibilities for continuous improvement.
